Rooms at Norman Carr Safaris

The four seasonal bush camps (Luwi, Nsolo, Kakuli and Mchenja) are positioned to make an excellent walking trail and provide rustic accommodation for up to eight guests. They complement each other with contrasting styles. From the stilted wooden and thatch open fronted huts at Nsolo, to the large Moroccan style luxury tents at Mchenja, all have hot running water, flushing toilets and solar lighting to ensure a very comfortable stay. The main lodge, Kapani, has six rooms, one Lagoon House and five Standard Suites, and is located just outside the park gates, providing an excellent base before or after your Zambian walking safari.

Food and Facilities

Dining in the lodge and at the Bushcamps is ‘al fresco’, with sensational views of the stars at night. All the chefs are trained locally, creating delicious home cooked meals for guests. During the hotter months, dive into the plunge pool at Mchenja or relax by the main swimming pool at Kapani.

Activities at Norman Carr Safaris

Walking safaris were pioneered here - as soon as you are on foot in the bush you become a part of it. You can also see, hear, smell and feel the bush from the back of a 4X4 during the day and on night drives, or by boat during the green season. Excursions to local schools and villages are also an amazing way to experience a snapshot of Zambian life.
