Hotel Overview

Mihingo Lodge

Mihingo Lodge has a scenic setting on the edge of Lake Mburo National Park.

Rooms at Mihingo Lodge

The lodge’s 12 luxury tents are nestled in forest, overlooking the lake, down by the waterhole or scattered across a rocky kopje, where the climb to reach them is worth every step. Each tent is set on its own stilted platform, with featuring natural materials such as wood and earthy colours reflecting the landscape outside, with a private bathroom and a veranda in front - perfect for animal spotting and scenic sunset drinks.

You’re very much at one with nature here, so expect to hear the birds singing as you fall asleep, and monkeys creeping up to steal the sugar for your morning coffee!

Food & Drink

The lodge has been designed to take advantage of its beautiful location, and it’s possible to watch zebras drinking at the waterhole while you’re eating dinner (made with fresh vegetables from the garden).

Facilities

You can gaze out over the plains and the buffaloes and zebras at the waterhole from the edge of the infinity pool or play tennis at the courts just 10 minutes away.

Activities at Mihingo Lodge

A boat trip on the lake is a wonderful way to see the birds and the wildlife, and guests can also enjoy game drives in the park. There are some lovely walks in the area, you can go mountain biking, and we can’t recommend riding safaris highly enough: they’re an exhilarating way to feel part of the bush and watch the animals.

In the morning, head up the tower for panoramic views, and in the evening, relax by the campfire under the stars.
