Sense of Place

The camp sits on the western slopes of Makoma Hill in the game rich Central Serengeti, surrounded by water, it is perfect for year-round game viewing.  The camp is also located where the annual wildebeest migration occurs, providing front row seats to this natural phenomenon.

Rooms at Lemala Ewanjan

Lemala Ewanjan features 12 luxury tented suites adorned with tasteful wooden cabinets and flooring, leather upholstery and brightly coloured furnishings to give a warm and homely feel. Each tent is spacious with its own lounge area, en suite bathroom with flush toilet and large safari shower with running water. There are also loungers outside every tent where guests can enjoy an unobstructed view of the sunset and the greenery surrounding them.

Food & Drink

The camp provides fresh and delicious food that can be enjoyed inside under glittering chandeliers or outside under the stars. Meals are eaten family-style, creating a social dining atmosphere, complemented by the exceptional food on offer.

Facilities

The campfire is the heart of camp; a place for guests to join together for aperitifs and share tales of the day’s sightings. Every night there is a campfire held where guests can enjoy a drink before dinner. The main tent is stocked with books for guests to peruse at their leisure, as well as a variety of games.

Activities at Lemala Ewanjan

Daytime game drives are the main highlight of a stay at Lemala Ewanjan. Safari through the Central Serengeti where phenomenal predator sightings are frequent and the iconic wildebeest migration takes centre stage from April to June and November to January. The most popular safari areas of the Serengeti are easily accessible from camp, and it is the more remote location of Lemala Ewanjan that makes it such a joy to retreat to after a day exploring the bush. Safari vehicles with charging units and a fridge to keep refreshments chilled. Breathtaking balloon safaris can also be arranged.
