The Last Word Franschhoek

The Last Word Franschhoek is an exclusive retreat situated in the historic village of Franschhoek, a short walk from numerous boutique shops and several excellent restaurants.

There is just a handful of luxurious rooms and suites, including Superior Rooms and Pool Suites with separate lounge areas, a semi-private plunge pool and a leafy courtyard. The rooms open onto a small, shaded garden or private patio. The bathrooms have generous baths, marble features and travertine tiles.

Tuck into a delicious breakfast before heading out for the day. There are many wonderful restaurants on your doorstep to choose from for dinner, and we can recommend our favourites - but to be honest, it’s difficult to pick a bad one in Franschhoek. And if you really can’t face going out, the Last Word team can arrange something for you, such as a cheese plate or a simple meal, and you can enjoy an aperitif or a glass of wine snuggled beside the log burner in the lounge.

Staying in South Africa’s gourmet capital, in the heart of the Winelands, the principal activities are fairly apparent.
