Hotel Overview

sense of place

Only a bay away from the restaurant and bar culture of Camps Bay, and nestled in the foothills of the Twelve Apostles.

Rooms at Cape View Clifton

Staggered in levels built into the cliff, the seven suites are all sea facing and balcony encased, meaning you’ll have views of the rugged cliffs and pearly-white sands from your bed. They have been designed in a neutral palette, with beige walls, subtle geometric-patterned pillows and soft lighting.

Honeymooners should consider the Clifton 7 Deluxe Apartment. Connected to the main house by your own bridge, your private butler can bring your breakfast in bed while you soak up the views of the bay through the floor to ceiling windows or eat al fresco next to your private plunge pool.

Food & drink

Technically a B&B, the Cape View Clifton only offers breakfast; however, if you’d like lunch or dinner, this can be prearranged. Alternatively, there are restaurants just a tap away, as an app created exclusively for guests means the whole of Cape Town is at your fingertips.

Lit by candles the evening, the wooden deck is the perfect spot to watch the sun set behind the crashing waves with a sundowner in hand from the honesty bar.

Facilities

As well as a scattering of plush sun loungers, the Cape View Clifton has a scenic swimming pool and a relaxing Jacuzzi. If you are feeling energetic in the morning, you can work up an appetite in the gym, which also offers unrivalled views of the Cape.

Activities at Cape View Clifton

Sun loungers and parasols are provided for your wander down to Clifton or Camps Bay, and private transfers means Cape Town is your oyster, from the boutiques of Bree Street to the heights of Signal Hill. If it’s your first time to South Africa, explore the highlights starting with a cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain.

Have a picnic amongst the beautiful flowers and fynbos in the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens or walk in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela with a tour of Robben Island.
