Rooms at Mara Plains Camp

The camp is made up of seven luxury tents. Sheltered on the banks of a small stream, under the cooling canopy of the riverine forest, this is a truly picturesque private property. Uniquely designed on raised decks, the octagonal canvas rooms are open on three sides creating a spacious and airy living atmosphere. All suites have en-suite bathrooms with flush loos and access to hot water 24 hours a day, as well as a complimentary daily laundry service.

Food and Facilities

Forget the mess tent! Dining here is a more extravagant affair with the main dining room comprising of a grand wooden table and magnificent chandelier. Grab a morning coffee or tuck into breakfast at whatever time suits you best, dining times are entirely flexible. After a hearty evening meal under the stars many settle around the campfire for a late night cocktail, absorbing the sounds of the resident lion pride that prowl the property’s perimeters.
