Leaving the Okavango Delta, you’ll be transferred by light aircraft to Maun airport, then onwards to the Tsigaro strip for three days in the quaint Camp Kalahari. In a breathtakingly beautiful setting on Hyena Island, amongst palms and acacia trees, the camp overlooks the ancient super lake of the Makgadikgadi saltpan. One of the most unusual places on Earth, the shimmering white expanse of salt desert is a spectacular sight to behold. Guests can enjoy the surreal experience of quad-biking on the salt flat, observe game in their natural habitat, interact with a meerkat colony, or simply relax by the camp’s decked swimming pool. Camp Kalahari’s rustic safari-style tents feature African patterned blankets and hot water bottles, and with excellent food and a thatched library, guests can enjoy the region’s enchanting wilderness in an authentic, comfortable setting.
