Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The capsules hang from a mountain in the Sacred Valley, and are only reachable by climbing up the via ferrata (a path with a safety system installed) or hiking a trail through the ziplines, and you descend back down the mountain via a thrilling zipline ride. Ollantaytambo is a 15-minute drive away and Urubamba is 20 minutes away, and also not far away are Maras Moray (40 minutes) and Pisac (one hour).

No experience is required, but there is a minimum age of 7 for the via ferrata and 6 for the zipline. Safety is a priority: there are safety talks prior to the experience and equipment including helmets and safety harnesses is provided. At higher altitudes, the weather gets colder and windier. Bring warm and comfortable clothing and shoes, as well as plenty of water. Purified water is available at the beginning and end of the experience, so you can bring a refillable bottle for this if you wish.

Rooms at Skylodge Adventure Suites

There are three capsules, 24ft in length and 8ft in height and width, each with four comfortable beds and a private bathroom containing an ecological toilet and a sink (towels are provided). The pods are made of aerospace aluminium and high resistance polycarbonate, and are quite spacious, being 24ft in length and 8ft in height.

While the capsules are transparent, curtains provide privacy - but it’s all about the location and the 360-degree views here. Enjoy panoramic vistas over the valley, the flying condors and the clear moonlit night skies. Even the bathrooms have views.

Food & Drink

There are dining areas and balconies with sweeping mountain vistas. Before going to sleep, enjoy a gourmet dinner with wine, and wake up to a delicious breakfast of fresh orange juice, eggs and fruit before departing in style on the zipline.

Facilities

At Skylodge, it's all about adventure and taking in the views from a unique bedroom.

Activities at Skylodge Adventure Suites

As you climb the mountain to get to them, and zipline back down in the morning, and enjoy a unique accommodation experience complete with bird’s eye views, staying in these suites IS the activity - while the vast natural playground all around you offers everything from trekking to mountain biking to rafting down the Urubamba River.
