The hotel is in one of the Sacred Valley’s most remote areas, nestled in corn plantations near the village of Urquillos. It has been elegantly designed to reflect its surroundings, and supports local communities, with an ethos of sustainability and ethical tourism.

There are 50 comfortable and spacious rooms and suites, with wood features, warm rugs on the beds and armchairs to cosy up in. The panoramic windows make the most of the views over the mountains and plantations, and some rooms have balconies or patios overlooking the scenery.
In keeping with the hotel’s ethos, the focus is on nature and simplicity, and there is no Wi-Fi and no TVs or mini-bars – this is a place where you can truly switch off from daily life.

Food and facilities

Enjoy authentic Peruvian cuisine, prepared with fresh local ingredients, and choose from a premium wine list. There are quinchos (traditional barbecues) once or twice a week in high season.

Hike, bike or horse ride along mountain trails and beside the Urubamba River, and take advantage of the hotel’s activity programmes – these are run by expert guides and give you a unique insight into the rich Inca history and natural wonders of the Sacred Valley.
On your return, visit the beautiful spa in Pumacahua House, a 17th-century colonial house, where you can enjoy a swim, a massage or a relaxing session in the sauna.
