3 nightsSACRED VALLEY

Kick off your honeymoon in the bucolic beauty that is the Sacred Valley, reached by a scenic flight from Lima and road transfer from Cusco. Spend the first days of your adventure holiday together rambling over mighty archaeological sites like Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero, for an introduction to the ancient world of the Incas. Go off on treks and seek out local markets, get the adrenaline pumping by river rafting and rock climbing, and at the end of the day unwind at your luxury abode, Sol y Luna. The blossoming gardens are teeming with birdlife, and there’s a wood burning fireplace in the lounge - the perfect setting for a spot of relaxation.

1 nightMACHU PICCHU

After a train ride on the Vistadome, you’ll arrive in Aguas Calientes and be transferred to your hotel for the night, El Mapi, where you can relax in the hot water pool and toast your honeymoon with lemongrass-infused Pisco Sours.

The next day, wake up to incredible views of the majestic mountains from your window before making your way to Machu Picchu. Sharing that first view of the iconic ancient citadel together will surely be an unforgettable moment. We’ll take you on a private tour of Machu Picchu, when you’ll get to learn about this mind-blowing site framed by the Andes. Then it’s a Vistadome trip to Cusco - the capital of the Incas.

2 nightsCUSCO

You’re sure to be captivated by this great Peruvian city, whose Incan foundations were built upon by the Spanish conquistadors to create a mesmeric blend of ancient stone and ornate colonial architecture. Stay at El Mercado Tunqui, a central base from which to explore Cusco, and meander along cobbled streets, stop for coffee and delight in the exquisite architecture - the Plaza de Armas and cathedral are both must-sees. If you’re feeling in the mood for adventure, Cusco is a great launch pad for more adrenaline-fuelled activities in the Sacred Valley - but don’t exert yourselves too much, as after two nights in Cusco you’ll head off for a three-night trek to reach Choquequirao.

3 nightsCHOQUEQUIRAO TREK

Having ticked off Peru’s greatest archaeological icon, it’s time to plunge into the depths of the Andes for a four-day trek to reach the hidden ruins of Choquequirao. This incredible site is buried in cloud forest in a remote corner of the Andes, reached only by foot and mule, making it the ultimate ‘lost city’ and an incredibly special sight to behold. You’ll trek with an expert guide and camp overnight, with all food provided, and as well as experiencing the enigmatic ruins you’ll encounter tiny hamlets on the way and learn about life in this almost impenetrable area.

3 nightsMANCORA

Golden sands, fresh seafood and sleepy fishing villages - this is what the last leg of your Peruvian honeymoon looks like. Delightfully off-the-beaten-track, Mancora is our favourite spot for a beach retreat after all the excitement of an action-packed adventure in Peru. We especially love it for the boutique hotel KiChic, an eco-chic beachside retreat. Relax with some yoga or cool off in the pool - or, if you want even more adventure, try sand-boarding in the desert or hit the beach for some surfing - apparently the sport was invented here in Mancora.

After a few days on the Peruvian coast, we’ll take you home via Lima Airport, energised from your first holiday together as newlyweds.
