Gocta Lodge

Located in the Cocachimba valley - at the starting point of treks to Gocta waterfall, which is just 3.7 miles away.

There are only eight rooms and two suites, but each room is spacious and comfortable with a private bathroom. Though they are simply decorated, the rooms are tasteful with local artwork, glass doors that lead out onto private terraces and large enveloping beds.

Before your excursion to the perennial falls, dive into the hearty buffet breakfast on the terrace. For lunch and dinner, guests select from a menu of fresh and filling meals ahead of time, which will be served either al fresco or in the dining room.

The Gocta falls are made of two drops, the first one 231m tall and the other 540m, making it a total height of 771km. Though you can see these falls from the lodge, the trek to the bottom is stunning and can be completed in 2.5 hours, walking along a path through the thick forest enclosed by the beautiful mountainous landscape. Alternatively, you can hire a horse for the majority of way, and only need to walk the last 40 minutes. 
The gardens, swimming pool and rooms have all be placed to ensure constant views of the natural wonders. With wooden decking and lounge chairs, when you are not hiking, you can rest around the pool – absolutely ideal for soaking up the sun.
