Sense of Place
Beyond the peace and quiet of Patio del Mundo's tropical gardens is the El Poblado neighbourhood, a fashionable district with plenty of attractions that's home to a thriving expat population.
Rooms at Patio del Mundo
Each colourful room at Patio del Mundo is uniquely designed, with each one themed after a different exotic region of the world. Cartagena de Indias is inspired by colonial Caribbean style, and opens onto a private balcony with a hammock overlooking the gardens, Al-Andalus is full of nods to Moorish design, such as its beautiful tiled bathroom, Provence is decked out in purple and green in homage to the countryside colours of southern France, while Bali evokes the unique style of the Indonesian island of the same name. They all have views over the gardens.
Food & drink
Each morning will see you starting the day off in the best way, with a fortifying breakfast in the serene gardens. Fresh fruit and organic yoghurt are on offer if you prefer a healthy breakfast, while pastries, eggs and cheese are also available if you’re after something more substantial – all accompanied, of course, by rich Colombian coffee, tea, and freshly pressed fruit juices. When it comes to lunch and dinner, staff will happily recommend the finest restaurants nearby - and there are many to choose from.
The hotel’s main attraction is its beautiful gardens, which sprawl across 1,300m square metres, including banana, avocado and citrus trees, dotted with wooden decks where you can put your feet up in a hammock or take a dip in the Jacuzzi. Massage and beauty treatments, as well as yoga classes, are also available in the gardens.
