The 20 elegant, spacious rooms at Casa Higueras are spread over four levels of what was originally a 1920’s mansion. Décor is both in keeping with the original features of the building, yet with sumptuous contemporary touches. There are five different room categories with prices varying according to room size and views.

Montealegre, the restaurant at Casa Higueras, offers delicious modern cuisine using the finest local ingredients, with a special emphasis on seafood. Dine inside, or on the terrace for spectacular views, all washed down with wonderful Chilean wine.

Stroll through the fascinating port town of Valparaiso, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and marvel at the network of lifts and funiculars which link the port with the steep cobbled streets above, where you’ll find a colourful and eclectic mix of buildings and impressive viewpoints. Ten minutes by taxi from Casa Higueras is Pablo Neruda’s house, La Sebastiana, and guests can also explore more of the Pacific coastline including his other museum/house at Isla Negra. Wine lovers should take a day trip inland and explore the Central Valley vineyards.
