Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Awasi Patagonia is a private reserve in Torres del Paine, in southern Chile’s Patagonia: home to a national park whose extraordinary collection of mountains, glaciers, lakes, and rivers make for a scene like no other. Sheltered from the wind by a dense forest of lenga and nirre trees, enjoy views over Lake Sarmiento and the jagged peaks of the snow-capped mountains.

Rooms at Awasi Patagonia

Inspired by old Patagonian shelters and ranching outposts, Awasi Patagonia's stylish villas, clad in natural local materials such as wood, are strategically situated amongst the natural landscape to ensure utmost privacy. Each of the villas enjoys separate sleeping and living areas, as well as cosy wood-burning stoves and picture windows to admire the views from every angle, as well as an outdoor hot tub from which you can gaze out over Torres del Paine, Lake Sarmiento and the forest, and contemplate the chill of those formidable mountains. A stay in the larger master villa will also provide you with a further bedroom and exclusive access to an enclosed terrace.

You can walk or bike along the trails between the villas and the Main Lodge, or alternatively transportation can be provided.

Food & Drink

After a day spent hiking to the highest peaks of Torres del Paine, revitalise yourself in the warming lounge before refuelling in the exclusive restaurant. Here, expert chefs create a truly unique, innovative and exquisite taste experience, inspired by regional specialities and fresh local ingredients, including those plucked from the kitchen garden. Menus can be tailored to suit you and your preferences.

Facilities

Hunker down on one of the plush sofas in the Main Lodge after a day in the mountains, and curl up with a good book or look out over the ever-changing scenery.

Activities at Awasi Patagonia

Each villa at Awasi comes equipped with a private guide and 4x4 vehicle, the only hotel in the region to provide this option, enabling you to explore your epic surroundings at your own pace, with excursions tailored to suit you. Options include horse riding and biking around the mountains, and kayaking around the icebergs on Lake Grey, or we can arrange for you and your guide to journey by foot, observing the distinctive native flora and fauna en route.

The hotel is also heavily involved in conservation in the Patagonia region and, for those who are interested, you can learn more about the important work being done during your stay. For example, by creating a protected wildlife corridor the Awasi Foundation has now increased the local puma population from zero to around 10, and has funded important research into the behavioural patterns of the species too.
