Belmond Hotel das Cataratas is the only hotel inside Iguazu National Park and is located alongside the famous Iguazu Falls, set in orchid-filled gardens.

The attractive colonial-style rooms and suites come with hardwood floors, walls of rich yellow, deep red and classic cream, artisan fabrics including rainforest-inspired curtains, and local art, with features including traditional azulejos painted tiles designed exclusively for the hotel, alongside lavish marble bathrooms.

There are two restaurants, the Ipé Grill by the pool, which offers succulent 'gaucho'-style meats and local and international buffets, and Itaipu, which offers a delicious Brazilian-fusion menu and has a charming veranda overlooking the falls. There’s plenty of fish on the menu as well as tasty local specialities. At sunset, sip caipirinhas on the terrace at Bar Tarobá while taking in the views and sounds of the falls and the birds.
