Rooms at Pousada Literaria

Fuschia, Mexican orange, sunflower yellow and olive green – certainly not limited to these but the pillow-laden, vibrant beds at Pousada Literaria are presided over by walls coated in these bold colours, immediately making you feel welcome and comfortable. All rooms are bright with colonial ceilings and wooden beams and have king-sized beds draped in 600 thread count linen.

Pousada Literaria also has a private two-bedroom beachfront house in Mamangua, a secluded part of Paraty Bay, where you will be served breakfast each morning and can enjoy relaxing on your own stretch of beach.

Food and facilities

For breakfast, you are in for a real treat, with chef Bertrand Materne cooking up a storm. With his creations showcasing fresh Paraty ingredients and caicaras flavours, you can have breakfast by the pool, in the main dining area or, for a great start to a leisurely day, on your room’s veranda. With tropical fruits, fresh juices, cakes, cooked dishes and more, you’ll feel energized for the day ahead. For dinner, join chef Materne again but in the Restaurant Quintal des Letras, where you can sample cuisine crafted from Chopi flour, fresh fish and peach palm palmetto.
