When to go to Brazil

Brazil is a year round destination, and although there are regional climate variations to take into account, it’s such a huge and diverse country that there’s somewhere exciting to visit whatever the time of year you choose to go.

Warm and tropical Rio can be slotted into any itinerary, and although there can be cool breezes coming in from the Atlantic, and the possibility of rain from October to January, anyone who wants to see the iconic city sights won’t find this a problem.

As for beaches, we can pick the destination carefully to avoid the rainy season (in the Northeast from April to July, and Rio and the south from October to January), but generally by choosing Brazil you’re guaranteed a sunny and tropical escape.

The regions that really need planning carefully are the Amazon and the Pantanal. In neither destination is there a ‘best’ time to go as both dry and wet seasons have pros and cons which we can talk you through. Our advice is to visit during a transitional period so that you can experience the best of both worlds, or let us plan it around the wildlife that interests you the most.
