Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Casa Grande Hotel is in the upmarket Zona Sur, not far from all the attractions of La Paz yet offering a serene retreat from the city.

Rooms at Casa Grande Hotel

The 65 rooms are sleek, spacious and modern, with a neutral colour scheme of whites and polished woods. They have comfortable beds with feather duvets, mini-bars and spa-style bathrooms with rainshowers, alongside views of either the city or the mountains from floor-to-ceiling windows. Some also have private balconies, and the Presidential Suite has a private terrace as well as a whirlpool tub.

Food & Drink

Tuck into delicious international cuisine made with fresh, seasonal ingredients at the Yerba Buena restaurant, which also has a terrace. In the morning, enjoy a breakfast of local tea and coffee and specialities such as sweet potato bread and marraqueta (a local baguette). You can also find freshly-baked pastries and fresh coffee at the café, as well as delicious Italian gelato.

In the evening, sip cocktails at Casabar on the rooftop, while taking in the panoramic city views and spectacular sunsets over La Paz.

Facilities

Escape from the hustle and bustle of the city in the tranquil interior gardens, have a swim in the heated indoor pool or relax poolside, or head to the fitness centre, which also has saunas and Jacuzzis.

Activities at Casa Grande Hotel

Everything about Bolivia is a real eye opener, and La Paz’s legendary Witches’ Market is no exception. Head here to find macabre trinkets, love potions and local sorcerers who’ll cast spells for a fee – or explore Jaen Street’s colourful alleys, where you’ll see traditionally-dressed women and a cluster of tiny museums. Further out of La Paz is Tiwanaku, one of the oldest pre-Incan sites in the world.
