Sense of place

Regional culture is strongly felt throughout Legado Mitico, with original paintings adorning the walls, antique furniture, and local handicrafts and textiles decorating the walls. The staff are very friendly and will gladly help you plan your adventures in Salta and beyond.

Rooms at Legado Mitico Salta

Legado Mitico’s rooms and suites have an elegant, colonial feel, with tiled stone floors, extensive use of dark wood, and wrought iron four-poster beds. Each of the rooms is named for a different historical figure, such as the artist Lola Mora, the musician Gustavo Cuchi Leguizamon, and the national hero Martin Manuel de Guemes. The rooms combine period features and antique furnishings with modern conveniences such as air conditioning and hydromassage bathtubs.

Food & Drink

At breakfast, you’ll start the day off right with a sumptuous spread of Continental goodies, from fresh fruit and home-baked bread and pastries to cold meats, cheeses, and hot cooked options. Throughout the day, a range of light dishes, from simple sandwiches to local specialities such as tamales, is on offer at the hotel; alternatively, check out Salta’s fantastic Andean restaurants – staff will happily recommend.

Facilities

There is no pool, gym or spa at the hotel, but wellness treatments such as massages, manicures and pedicures can be arranged in the privacy of your own room on request.

Activities at Legado Mitico Salta

Salta is a charming city, combining pretty colonial architecture dating back to the 1500s with rich Andean folk culture. Particularly noteworthy are the city’s penas – folk clubs – where live performances go on deep into the night. These are good places to enjoy dinner to some live musical accompaniment. Also worth a visit is the Museum of High Altitude Archaeology, where Incan life and culture is fascinatingly preserved, and the surrounding countryside, such as the multicoloured valley of Quebrada de Humahuaca.
