Sense of place

Rooms at Don Puerto Bemberg Lodge

Rooms at Don Puerto Bemberg Lodge have a stylish, shabby-chic aesthetic which fits right in with the hotel’s status as a luxury lodge in the middle of the jungle. The rustic feel is compounded with wooden headboards painted in rough stripes of greens and browns, robust wooden furniture, and wooden animal sculptures carved by local artists.

Food & Drink

Food at Don Puerto Bemberg Lodge is a traditional Argentine affair, with lots of locally sourced meat, fish and vegetables cropping up in exquisitely presented, gourmet takes on classic dishes. Fish from the Parana River crop up frequently. A particular treat is the traditional Argentinean barbecue, a riot of grilled meat held a few times a week under the stars.

The hotel has a lovely outdoor pool, perfect for cooling off after adventures in the national park, and massage treatments are available on request. Kids over the age of eight are welcome at the hotel.

Activities at Don Puerto Bemberg Lodge

The star attraction nearby is undoubtedly the Iguazu Falls, an awe-inspiring network of waterfalls tumbling dramatically down 80 metres of sheer cliffs. The falls are surrounded by a beautiful national park, rich in wildlife including monkeys, caimans, eagles and jaguars. This area is also something of a haven for birdwatchers, with toucans, parakeets and hummingbirds among the tropical birds you can spot here.
