Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Awasi Iguazu is on the Argentinian side of the falls, on a private reserve beside the Iguazu River.

Rooms at Awasi Iguazu

The villas, spread throughout the jungle, are not only luxurious and secluded but full of character too. Built with eco-consciousness in mind, they are set on stilts to minimise the environmental impact, with beautiful views over the lush tropical jungle. They make the most of local woods in their construction and furnishings, and are decorated with colourful local artworks.

The villas each have a spacious living area, an outdoor shower and a private plunge pool to cool off in after a day of exploring the falls and its dramatic surrounding landscapes. The master villa is exceptionally spacious, with a larger living area and plunge pool – ideal for two couples, families and groups.

Food & Drink

Head to the Main Lodge to tuck into delicious meals in the restaurant, which sits in the forest canopy and offers gourmet seasonal daily menus using fresh local produce found on the doorstep, including prawns with banana curry and papaya gazpacho. Enjoy refreshing drinks in the bar, while savouring the views.

Facilities

Linger in the attractive communal area of the Main Lodge, where you can relax on plush sofas with a good book and a drink or two, overlooking the jungle.

Activities at Awasi Iguazu

As well as private excursions to the falls, Awasi Iguazu also offers boat trips with sunset picnics, cultural tours enabling you to learn more about the diverse Misiones region, birdwatching trips, treks into the rainforest and visits to archaeological sites as well as the less famous waterfalls. You can also meet with local Guarani tribes and learn about their age-old artisan crafts and their relationship with the rainforest.

The hotel works with renowned biologists and local experts to create extra-special experiences during your visit - there is so much to see and do around here as well as the falls, so ensure you make the most of it!
