The country-style rooms feature Andean stone, desert wood and warm colour schemes, with colourful local artworks on the walls. Sliding doors lead directly on to the gardens, while the top floor rooms have balconies for making the most of the views. The superior rooms have inviting stone fireplaces and Jacuzzis.

Food and Drink

Start the day in style with a mouthwatering buffet breakfast, while the restaurant offers delicious regional cuisine such as empanadas or steak served with Malbec sauce- and while we’re on the subject of Malbec, make sure you try some of Argentina’s best wines in the wine bar. The hotel also offers traditional Argentine asado (barbecues) and flavoursome dishes cooked in a clay oven.

Activities at Lares de Chacras

Explore Chacras de Coria, with its pretty houses and tree-lined streets- visit on the weekend for the crafts markets on the main square. Meanwhile, you can cycle to a number of nearby wineries to indulge in tours and tastings, as well as cooking classes where you can learn how to make empanadas and asado. The mountain town of Potrerillos, where you can go trekking, whitewater rafting or ziplining, is 60km away, while in winter you can go skiing. Relax at the end of the day in the pool and the hot tub.
