Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Havasu means ‘blue-green water’, and it’s not hard to see why these beautiful, turquoise waterfalls were so named. Sleeping under the stars and exploring the area on foot, this experience is all about immersing yourself in the beauty of the great outdoors.

Rooms at Havasupai heli-trekking

The hiking trails you’ll follow on this trip take you to beautiful camp locations, where your tents will be set up and you’ll spend the night sleeping under the stars. As you’re staying in tents, accommodation is obviously basic – but all the gear provided is of the highest quality, with Sierra Designs, Kelty or Big Agnes tents and sleeping bags, and comfy Thermarest or Big Agnes sleeping pads.

Food & drink

After a day’s hiking, swimming and exploration, you can look forward to a tasty meal back at the camp prepared by your guide, which will be nutritious as well as delicious to ensure that you’re fully refuelled to go again the next day. Meals are based on foods which travel well, like lentils, beans, couscous and granola; you’ll also be provided with an assortment of trail mix, snacks, and dried fruits to keep you going out in the field. Special dietary requirements can happily be catered for with advance notice.

Facilities

The rates include helicopter transport, hiking guides, reservations and entrance fees, camping and hiking gear, and meals. Tents, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads are provided, as are backpacks, trekking poles, cooking stoves and first-aid equipment.

Activities at Havasupai heli-trekking

The Havasupai people have lived in this area for 800 years, and you can get to know more about their rich history and unique culture in the village of Supai, where a helicopter ride will take you to begin your trip. You’ll then spend the next few days hiking around the waterfalls and stopping off to swim in the water. As well as the world-famous Havasu Falls, you’ll visit Fifty Foot Falls, Rock Falls and Carbonite Canyon, and Beaver Falls.
