Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

El Tovar is stunningly located on the canyon rim in Grand Canyon National Park.

Rooms at El Tovar

El Tovar’s historic nature means no two of its rooms and suites are alike. All are luxuriously appointed and traditionally elegant, and the individually-named suites reflect the identity of their namesakes: the Zane Grey suite, for example, is decorated with wall art reflecting the work of the famous western author.

Food & Drink

El Tovar’s majestic dining room, constructed from native stone and Oregon pine, provides a classic, rustic atmosphere in which to enjoy a fine dining experience based on local ingredients and traditional cuisine. The restaurant’s walls evoke the area’s rich history, with murals reflecting the tradition of four Native American tribes: the Hopi, the Apache, the Mojave and the Navajo.

Facilities

Relax in the art-filled lounge, pick up a souvenir in the gift shop and simply drink in the spectacular views.

Activities at El Tovar

The incredible landscapes of the Grand Canyon will clearly be top of the agenda during your stay at El Tovar, but that’s by no means all there is to the area. The Tusayan Museum features exhibits of Pueblo Indian life at the Grand Canyon from 800 years ago, while the Yavapai Geology Museum showcases the science that makes the area so special.
