Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Triple Creek Ranch is sprawled across a 50-acre estate in the Bitterroot Valley just south of Missoula in the Rocky Mountains of Montana. Its abundant natural surroundings include the vast and verdant Bitterroot National Forest.

Rooms at Triple Creek Ranch

The luxurious individual log-style cabins and ranch homes have the perfect balance of rustic Western character and 21st-century indulgence, and offer panoramic views of the grounds and the mountains in the distance. They have ample space, with elegant touches throughout, with warming wood-burning fireplaces, plush leather sofas, and welcoming hampers filled with freshly baked cookies, locally ground coffee and homemade trail mix.

The highlight of the cabins is the private or shared hot tubs - ideal to relax in after a long day riding. For even more luxury, the Ponderosa is a stunning 3,600ft, 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom cabin.

Food & Drink

Dine on delicious cuisine inspired by traditional regional dishes and served with an international flair, which you can enjoy in the elegant vaulted-ceiling dining room. The dishes are expertly created using fresh, locally sourced produce. For a more intimate evening, meals can also be bought to your cabin at no extra cost.

The food is perfectly accompanied by the finest wines and local craft beers, and if you're a wine buff, spend some time with the sommeliers and learn about the wines in the very impressive wine cellar.

Indulge in a pre-dinner drink at the Rooftop Lounge, where a relaxed cocktail hour takes place in the evening - a perfect opportunity for guests to share their daily adventures while admiring the beautiful scenery all around them.

Facilities

Work out in the 24-hour fitness centre, or play a game of tennis up on the mountaintop court, which offers more stunning views of the ranch's extensive grounds and the surrounding wilderness. Take a dip in the heated outdoor swimming pool, relax in a hot tub or the sauna, or unwind under the Montana sun on a sun lounger.

Ease your tired muscles after a day in the saddle at the Mountain Wellness Spa, where a selection of treatments are available, including deep-tissue massages and invigorating body wraps.

Activities at Triple Creek Ranch

There are just slow rides here due to the terrain, running four times daily for 75 minutes each, so it's ideal for beginners and intermediate-level riders, but not those who are after faster rides. Explore the unspoiled landscapes of Bitterroot Valley and beyond on a cross-country riding adventure.

Guests also have the opportunity to go on a cattle ride and spend an exhilarating day herding cattle the old-fashioned way - you could help herd anything from 100 to 800 animals (at additional cost). These cattle rides are the most popular riding activity at the ranch. They are exclusively limited to just 8 guests per ride, to give you a fulfilling and memorable experience.

While riding is the main activity at the ranch, there are also plenty of other activities to keep you busy when you are out of the saddle. Spend the afternoon fly-fishing at one of the three trout ponds on the grounds, play a game of 9-hole frisbee golf, have a go at archery, head out on a nature drive or simply take a stroll and explore the lush forests. Exhilarating white water rafting adventures through rocky canyons are also on offer, as well as leisurely scenic floating trips along the Bitterroot River.

There is something for every season too: discover the area by mountain bike or an ATV vehicle during the summer, and by snowmobile and dog-sled in the winter months. In the evening, thanks to there being little light around, this is a fantastic place for stargazing.

Practical information:
The ranch is open year-round except for March, with a differing winter package.
There is no mandatory arrival date.
There are no minimum stays, other than Christmas and 4th July (the suggested minimum stay is 4 nights).
