Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Located ocean-side of the infamous South Beach, within Miami’s Art Deco district, The Setai is ideally located to explore Miami's greatest attraction, the beach, while also keeping its intimate and serene atmosphere.

Rooms at The Setai

The Setai’s suites are housed in the 1930s Art Deco building and a 40-storey glass tower. They are contemporary and cosy in style with subtle yet classic Asian themed decor which is reflected in the teak walls and authentic Chinese jade pieces. Handmade Duxiana beds and black granite baths are in every suite but we recommend the Ocean suites in the landmark glass tower to guarantee those sweeping ocean views.

Food & Drink

The food at The Setai has earned itself many awards - Jaya, meaning "victory" in Sanskrit, serves modern Asian cuisine that has be influenced by the ancient silk and spice trading routes. Family-style serving allows for an open and relaxed atmosphere.

For something a little more chic and Mediterranean-inspired The Ocean Grill offers poolside dining, featuring delights such as White Truffle Pizza, Spanish Octopus on The Grill and Yellowfin Tuna Tartre.

With a menu containing 41 pages of top wine estates from around the world The Setai Wine Cellar is a must for wine connoisseurs. While The Bar & Courtyard offers up the sophisticated cocktails, fine wines, champagne and cognac with global dishes.

Facilities

The Spa at The Setai by THÉMAÉ, aptly named after the Japanese tea preparation ceremony, focuses its treatments on the art of tea and uses of four types; soothing red (rooibos), regenerating white, antioxidant green and stimulating black. Using the extracts of these teas, and pure spring water from France, the spa offers revitalizing spa treatments and exclusive skincare products.

As well as the spa you will find three temperature-controlled pools as well as direct access to South Beach, along with daybeds to sunbathe on.

Activities at The Setai

Next door to the hotel is the city’s only fine art museum, the Bass Museum of Art, which is a good place to shelter from the afternoon sun for an hour or two. Take a yoga or tai chi class in The Setai’s spa or for something more active, do some snorkelling or deep-sea diving or speed off on one of the hotel’s jet skis. At night all signs point to South Beach’s bar, club and music venues, which come to life after dark.
