Pershing Hill, at the Presidio on the tip of the San Francisco Peninsula. It is the closest hotel to the Golden Gate Bridge.

Rooms at The Inn at Presidio

There are 22 rooms, including 17 suites. The simple, minimal furnishings give the rooms a clean, modern feel and are reminiscent of a classic, New England style. There are fireplaces in the suites and lovely views across the bay and the park. Newly opened Victorian-style Funston House has four extra rooms and you can also book out the whole house.

Food & Facilities

The Inn serves breakfast in the dining room and for you dinner you can sample some Californian cuisine at the nearby Presidio Social Club or Dixie, which has two Michelin stars. The classic American front porch complete with rocking chairs is a great place for relaxing with a glass of Napa Valley wine and a good book, and the outdoor deck with a fire pit is a cosy spot when the evening sets in.

Activities

In the Presidio, you can go hiking or biking around 24 miles of trails; golf on the 18-hole course; admire the Golden Gate Bridge; or wander down Baker Beach to watch the sun set.     On the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge you can find the Golden Gate Bridge Park, and to the north of this is Muir Woods, where you can marvel at the towering redwoods.
