Rooms at The Canary

The rooms and suites are classically fitted out with four-poster beds, white linen, dark wood furnishings and fresh flowers. There are city views from the windows and the beds are so comfortable you might find it hard to leave them! For the best views, get a room on a higher floor – and we recommend upgrading to a suite if you need the space.

Food & Facilities

Finch & Fork serves locally-sourced cuisine and a Californian menu – try their speciality, the lamb burger! If you don’t fancy dining in the restaurant, you can have your Finch & Fork order delivered to your room or suite – ideal for lazy mornings when getting ready for breakfast seems like too much hard work! For some al fresco wining and dining, you can head up to the Canary Rooftop Perch, which offers beautiful views across the city. You’ll also find the pretty Spanish-tiled pool on the rooftop, where you can cool off with the ocean breeze and views of Santa Barbara and the coastline. There is a spa (the services of which you can enjoy in your room) and a gym.

Activities at The Canary

For some downtime, the hotel’s rooftop is the ideal location to chill out by the pool, relax with a bite to eat and a glass of wine, or finish that book in the Californian sunshine. Yoga mats are provided in all the rooms and there are beach cruiser bikes available for guests. The beach is right on your doorstep and State Street has plenty to offer from boutique shops to cool cocktail bars. If you want to head out further afield, you can explore the nearby Californian vineyards or take off down the stunning Highway One.
