Hotel Overview

Where

In Yosemite National Park, with stunning views: this is the only luxury lodge to be found inside the park, and is 1.5 miles from the village.

Rooms at the Majestic Yosemite Hotel

This iconic hotel's interiors feature natural woods, stone fireplaces, tapestries and stained glass windows. The luxurious and elegant rooms and cottages have panoramic views of Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and Glacier Point. The cottages are tucked under the tree canopy and all have their own small patio area. Some have balconies - perfect for soaking up the vistas. For more space, the suites are roomier: the El Dorado Diggins suite has a Jacuzzi and used to be a chapel during World War II; and the Mary Curry Tresidder suite has a four-poster canopy bed and was once host to Queen Elizabeth II.

Food and facilities

The restaurant serves delicious Californian food in an impressive dining room with wooden beams across the high ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows, chandeliers and stone pillars. For an after-dinner drink, head to the stylish bar, and during the warmer months you can enjoy a cold beer on the terrace, which has views of Half Dome and Glacier Point. Relax with a book by the fire on cold evenings in the grand lounge. The sun-trap Solarium, cosy Winter Club room and the Mural room, with its huge portrayal of Yosemite, are comfortable spots for relaxation and recuperation after a strenuous day exploring the park. There is also a year-round heated outdoor swimming pool.

Activities at the Majestic Yosemite Hotel

Hiking and biking are two great ways to see Yosemite National Park. Scale Half Dome for spectacular views or head to Yosemite Falls to see the cascading waters for which the park is famed.
