Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Located in Mather on the border of Yosemite National Park.

Rooms at Evergreen Lodge

Accommodation runs from rustic to deluxe, where you can choose from different sized cabins, a 2,500 square-foot house, tents or a family cottage with a private deck. The cabins and cottages, spread out over 22 acres, have small fridges, coffee makers and their own cache of board games and are adorned with artworks of supersized old labels of canned fruit and black and white photos of guests from when the lodge was a mining camp.
With queen foam mattresses, a mesh top with a view and sleeping bags, pillows and lanterns all included, book the ‘custom camping’ and arrive to your fully furnished tent already set up for you among the trees – a dream for those who want to go camping without the hassle.

Food & Drink

Start your day with a hearty breakfast of fresh buttermilk pancakes or house cured gravlax in the main dining room. For lunch, have a light snack or salad, like the homemade elk chili sandwich, on the open-air covered patio and for dinner grab a table at the classic, all-wood tavern to sample their ten beers on tap, signature cocktails and bacon wrapped lamb meatloaf made from locally sourced produce.

Facilities

Walk around the property and you’ll find a giant spider web made from ropes, a perfectly-placed hammock, a fort made from tree trunks, a giant outdoor chess set, a horseshoe pit, a general store and a kids’ zip line.

Activities at Evergreen Lodge

Most of your time will be spent exploring Yosemite, one of the most spectacular national parks in the world. With thundering waterfalls, impressive tree-clad valleys and 800 miles of trails to walk, head to the park for full day excursions, whether by yourself or with a guide from Evergreen Lodge. Crane your neck up at the iconic Half Dome, hire a rod and fish the crystalline streams, or grab a bike and cycle the pathways through Yosemite Valley.
After a good trek through the park, return to the lodge to go swimming in the seasonal pool or soothe your muscles in the hot tub.
