Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Mandarin Oriental, Canouan sits on Godahl Beach on the island of Canouan, which only measures five square miles, and is home to a large coral reef, making it perfect for underwater adventures. The word ‘canouan’ means ‘the island of tortoises’, and it’s not hard to see why – these friendly creatures can be spotted on the beaches.

Rooms at Mandarin Oriental, Canouan

Choose from spacious and airy suites or sleek Italian-designed villas, with elegant interiors, marble bathrooms and large windows making the most of the breathtaking ocean views. Some suites have private dining rooms, furnished balconies or terraces with sea views, and direct beach access, while the larger villas also have an infinity pool and a Jacuzzi. For additional VIP luxury, butler service is provided for all suites and villas.

The gorgeous four-bedroom, three-storey Lagoon Villas sit on a secluded hillside overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and boasts a full-serviced kitchen and living and dining areas, plus a private infinity pool.

Food & Drink

There are five exquisite restaurants and bars serving up gourmet Caribbean dishes that showcase fresh ingredients including, unsurprisingly, freshly-caught fish.

Dine at Tides Bar + Grill, and savour the best cuisine from land and sea, paired with freshly-picked vegetables and locally-sourced delicacies. The Lagoon Café offers Mediterranean-influenced seafood and tapas in a stunning al fresco setting by the ocean.

Enjoy a cocktail at the sleek Bellini or in your private cabana, while pre-dinner drinks are served at the Pool Bar and Turtles.

Stay active at the fully-equipped fitness centre or on the tennis courts.

After, relax at the pool or head to the spa where treatment suites are nestled in the hillside. Here you can experience rejuvenating treatments that are inspired by the Caribbean island, while enjoying the sea vistas and listening to the soothing sound of the waves.

Activities at Mandarin Oriental, Canouan

Go for a leisurely walk down the powder-soft sands of the beach and take a refreshing swim in the ocean.

Grab your windsurfing equipment or kayak at the water sports centre and go snorkelling or diving in the crystal-clear waters to spot sea turtles. Hop into your golf buggy or on a bicycle and explore the island - make sure to go on a guided hike up the 240-metre-high Mount Royal.

Calling all golf lovers – you must visit the only championship 18-hole golf course in the Grenadines and practise your perfect swing with friendly turtles for an audience and a pretty sunset as a reward.
