5 nightsST LUCIA

The magnificent duo of volcanic peaks that tower above St Lucia, the Pitons, form the staggering backdrop of the luxurious Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, which will be your home while on this beautiful island. With a huge stretch of white sand beach right on its doorstep, this tucked-away resort is surrounded on all sides by magnificent scenery, and is a secluded hideaway engulfed by the Caribbean at its most naturally pristine.

Sugar Beach has some superb restaurants and an impressive spa, and with excellent facilities for waterskiing, windsurfing and sailing, it offers plenty for those for whom the ocean is a playground. In the crystal-clear waters, divers can explore wrecks and get up close and personal with the resident turtles.

Elsewhere on the island, be sure to sample the endless beaches, stroll the bustling harbour of Castries or conquer the Soufriere volcano, where you can bathe in the mud pools of the world’s only ‘drive-in’ volcanic crater. Head to a small fishing village 45 minutes from Sugar Beach, where the fishermen bring their catch straight from the boats, and you can enjoy a barbecue of fresh fish right on the beach. Tucking in to octopus, conch, tuna and lobster with the locals will give you a true taste of Caribbean life.

After five nights here, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your short flight from lush St Lucia to chic, sleek Antigua.

5 nightsANTIGUA

Arriving in Antigua, you’ll be taken by speedboat to the 400-acre private island resort of Jumby Bay, part of the Rosewood Hotel Group. With this the only means of reaching the island, the resort offers total exclusivity away from the crowds, where terraces wrap around newly refurbished suites that show off magical sea views.

Exploring the island by bicycle makes for a peaceful way to while away a slow-paced day, and there’s some fantastic diving and snorkelling for those enchanted by the Caribbean’s submerged treasures. For utmost serenity, forget any lingering worries in the open-air spa or head out on an evening cruise to relax to a stunning sunset while drifting gently on tranquil waters. Heading over to upmarket Antigua, a favourite hideaway for celebs seeking a little seclusion, take some time out on any one of the 365 glistening white beaches (one for every day of the year), enjoy a round of golf or wander the historic English Harbour. Once used by Nelson during the Napoleonic wars, the harbour is today the centre for yachting and sailing in the Caribbean, and is a haven for those captivated by life on the waves.

As your island getaway draws to a close, you’ll hop on a flight from Antigua back home.
