Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Hotel Boucan has a picturesque setting in a 140-acre working cacao plantation in Soufriere in the south of St Lucia, surrounded by tropical rainforest.

Rooms at Rabot Hotel from Hotel Chocolat

Inspired by the natural beauty of their surroundings, the lodges are a beautiful blend of traditional St Lucian charm and sleek contemporary style. The chocolate and cream-coloured interiors have king-sized four-poster beds, stylish furnishings, iPods pre-loaded with a select playlist, and open-sky rainforest showers. They are positioned to catch the cooling island breeze, and unsurprisingly, they have panoramic views of the Pitons and the Caribbean. Some have private verandas with sun loungers perfect for relaxing on, St Lucia style.

As well as Jing tea, freshly-ground coffee and a welcome bottle of chilled prosecco, you’ll also find chocolate treats in your room – and they are replenished daily!

Food & Drink

The inventive cacao-inspired cuisine, coupled with the beautiful location, makes the Rabot restaurant a very popular foodie destination. As well as cacao, the menus also feature local fresh fish, salads and vegetables, and herbs from the hotel's herb garden. Try both savoury and sweet dishes such as cacao-pork tenderloin or yellow fin tuna with a cacao nib crust and cacao garlic butter.

For dessert, treat yourself to St Lucian chocolate mousse and the beautifully-named Chocolate Genesis, which tells the story of chocolate in a 9-stage tasting plate - all served in a spectacular setting. Enjoy a sunset Cacao Bellini in the elegant bar.

Facilities

Take a dip in the stunning black quartz infinity pool, which directly overlooks the Pitons, and unwind at the Baute de Cacao spa with a soothing cacao treatment or massage (the cacao bean is packed with antioxidants and minerals, and infusions such as mint, rose and nutmeg are also used).Try out a poolside yoga class, stop over for a chocolate and rum tasting or take a tour of the aromatic herb garden.

Activities at Rabot Hotel from Hotel Chocolat

Walk along the cocoa trails and find out more about how chocolate is made on an exclusive tree-to-bar tour. Further afield, hike around the Pitons and soak in natural mineral baths before setting sail to explore the beautiful Caribbean coastal vistas.
