Luxury Holidays To St Lucia

Located between St Vincent and Martinique, St Lucia is a strikingly handsome island of lush tropical plantation landscapes, dominated by its most famous of landmarks, the twin Pitons – two towering volcanic cones which provide a dramatic backdrop to the pretty beaches and coves found along the coastline, perfect for hiking and biking as well as snorkelling and kayaking. This, along with its rich culture, showcased in vibrant annual festivities, make St Lucia simply a postcard-perfect holiday and honeymoon destination.

Castries

St Lucia’s busy capital city is arguably one of the most beautifully positioned in the Caribbean, with a large deep harbour surrounded by undulating hills.

Marigot Bay

About 8 miles south of Castries, you’ll find one of the most stunning bays in the Caribbean, sheltered by palms and surrounded by hills. Used in the movie Dr Doolittle, and a former pirate hideout, it is well worth a visit, by land or by yacht.

Soufriere

This deep-water harbour sits at the base of the Gros and Petit Pitons. For the ultimate Piton view, why not take a helicopter ride over the island? Heights not for you? A boat trip is a great down-to-earth alternative. Not too far away, check out the nearby Soufriere volcano, the world’s only ‘drive-in’ volcanic crater, from which the town derives its name.

HIGHLIGHTS OF ST LUCIA

Spectacular scenery. St Lucia is famous for its mountain pitons draped in lush rainforest, perfect for a hike. For the best views stay at Jade Mountain, which has no fourth wall and a cascading pool in the bedroom – now that’s paradise.

You can't go to St Lucia without drinking some rum, and you can tour the island's only remaining rum distillery near Marigot Bay.

Outdoor activities. Those looking for a more active Caribbean holiday will find plenty to do on St Lucia, including trekking, mountain biking, and water sports.
