Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

La Creole Beach Hotel & Spa is on the south-western tip of the island of Grand-Terre, with peaceful palm gardens opening onto a sheltered private bay – in short, this is coastal Caribbean bliss.

Rooms at La Creole Beach Hotel & Spa

The rooms are light and spacious and have a bright and breezy feel, with a maritime blue-and-white colour scheme which reflects the cloudless sky and Caribbean Sea outside your window. Inside, you’ll find comfy beds and sofas, and French doors open onto balconies or terraces.

The spacious Duplex Suites are spread over two floors, while the Mahogany Suites have kitchens and living and dining areas. Several of the stunning garden level rooms offer private terraces with either ocean or hotel grounds views, as well as comfortable armchairs, perfect for relaxing and admiring the breath-taking sunsets.

Food & Drink

The wood-panelled Le Zawag restaurant does a great line in fresh seafood – think lobster linguine, chimichurri tuna and roasted crawfish. If fish isn’t your thing, try the thyme-roasted piglet rack, or the Angus sirloin steak – or go for a lighter option like a fresh salad or ceviche. Delicious American buffet breakfasts are served at La Route des Epices, while cocktails and a wide range of rums are on the agenda at La Rhumerie.

Facilities

At the spa, you’ll find two relaxing treatment cabins, a hammam and a sauna, alongside a range of therapies including massage, balneotherapy (using mineral-rich mud and water), scrubs, and facials. There’s also two lovely pools to choose from, as well as another pool especially for kids, and a range of fitness classes including yoga and aqua aerobics.

Activities at La Creole Beach Hotel & Spa

Near the hotel is Guadeloupe’s only 18-hole golf course at Saint Francois, while kayaking and windsurfing are among the marine activities. If you’re feeling really adventurous, have a go at flyboarding, which sees jet boots propel you into the air above the water.

Highlights of the island of Grand-Terre include Le Gosier Night Market and colonial Pointe-a-Pitre – known as the ‘New Orleans of the Caribbean’.
