Hotel Overview

Sense of place

In the stunning Tweedsmuir Provincial Park, Bella Coola, British Columbia.

Rooms at Tweedsmuir Park Lodge

The attractive wooden chalets offer a range of accommodation options, including ground floor bedrooms with additional loft rooms. The Grizzly Log chalet has a sculptured California king-sized bed and a generous walk-in shower, as well as large windows which show off the mountains and allow the sunlight to pour in.

Climbing fans should choose the Sir Edmund Hillary chalet, which the man himself stayed in, which is decorated with mountaineering memorabilia.

Food & drink

The daily menus feature local, organic produce and herbs from the garden, accompanied by a range of local wines from the cellar.

Facilities

The lodge benefits from some of the sunniest weather in Canada, so enjoy drinks on the outside deck before dinner. Play a game of billiards in the sports bar or visit the spa, which has a large hot tub and a First Nations tepee sauna.

Activities at Tweedsmuir Park Lodge

Children will enjoy playing frisbee on the lawn, fishing in their very own kids’ pond, and swimming in the Atnarko River. A viewing platform for watching wildlife and grizzly bears is only 200 metres from the lodge.

Explore the Bella Coola valley and its abundant wildlife on a non-motorised boat that doesn’t disturb the animals and ensures you have a leisurely, peaceful tour. Keen hikers can enjoy a heli-hike in the mountains, and budding photographers can go on a grizzly bear photography workshop with professional wildlife photographers.
