Hotel Overview

Sense of place

In the Thompson River Valley, where alpine meadows, river canyons and rolling hills make up the beautiful landscape.

Rooms at Sundance Guest Ranch

The rooms are comfortable and rustic in style – it’s no frills here but that’s all part of the experience! The deluxe rooms have minibars, coffee makers and king-size beds; while in the kid’s wing there’s a lounge and shared bathrooms.

Food & drink

Keep bellies happy with barbecued steak washed down with a glass of wine, and gaze out at the pastures through wide windows. A breakfast buffet will have you tasting delicious specials like strawberry-topped French toast or eggs benedict, while the BYOB lounge is the heart of the lounge with its huge stone fireplace, and there’s an outdoor deck for warmer weather. On Saturdays (and Wednesdays during the summer), a country rock dance is held, bringing the place to life!

Facilities

The outdoor heated pool is a big hit with kids, while adults will enjoy a massage treatment or relaxing on the deck with a glass of wine in hand. There are fun games in the games room like eight-ball and DVD players too.

Activities at Sundance Guest Ranch

It’s all about the horses here. The herd is made up of a hundred or so, all different colours, gaits, sizes and speeds, and the wranglers are extremely helpful and patient. The rides through the valley are absolutely fantastic, and suitable for children over the age of eight; while in the summer months little ones can take part in the supervised kids programme. When you tire of horse riding, enjoy hikes and river rafting, fishing or golf.
