Rooms at Haida Gwaii House

Rooms at Haida House are cosy and comfortable, with exposed beams and woodwork reflecting the rustic ‘post and beam’ cedar construction of the hotel. You have a choice of either twin or double accommodation, with each room having private bathroom and shower facilities. Rooms at the front of the hotel overlook the Tlell River, while those at the back are surrounded by the forest which leads to the beach.

Food and drink

In the dining room, an ever-changing array of dishes are served up based on seasonal local ingredients and fresh seafood – and if fish isn’t your thing, there’s always a land-based option too. As part of the cultural packages offered by the hotel, you can enjoy a traditional Haida dinner.

Facilities

The hotel features a cosy ‘Guest Den’, where you can enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks, play board games, read or watch DVDs, swap stories with other guests and staff, and recharge after a day exploring the islands. There is also a gift shop, with an emphasis on local art and handicrafts, where you can pick up an authentic souvenir of your stay.
