Hotel Overview

Sense of place

In the heart of Yoho National Park, on the shores of the Kicking Horse River.

Rooms at Cathedral Mountain Lodge

Traditional Canadian antiques decorate the wooden walls and floors of the Lodge’s cluster of handcrafted luxury log cabins. Warm colours, roaring fires and comfortable beds give the cabins a real homely feel, and the lack of TVs and telephones provides you with a chance to escape the modern world. Couples should opt for the Deluxe King Cabins, whilst families are better suited to the Premier Cabins with loft spaces.

Food & drink

After a filling market fresh buffet breakfast, a picnic-style lunch and complimentary afternoon tea and cookies in your cabin, it might be difficult to find space for dinner - but you must. The Riverside Dining Room specialises in regional cuisine; you’re guaranteed a taste sensation with things like maple-sugared double-smoked back bacon on the menu.

Facilities

Relax on the outdoor deck and soak up the surrounding scenery. Complimentary access to the facilities at sister hotel Moraine Lake Lodge are available, including canoeing on Moraine Lake.

Activities at Cathedral Mountain Lodge

Hike one of the nature trails that begin on your doorstep, take a trip to nearby Lake Louise or Banff Hot Springs, explore the surrounding ice fields on a helicopter tour or simply relax at the Lodge’s private beach. On a clear day, weave your way through the spectacular scenery that surrounds Moraine Lake on a canoe.
