Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The extensive use of organic materials lends a rustic air to proceedings, but Moose Hotel & Suites offers the best of both worlds, being just a minute’s walk from downtown Banff.

Rooms at Moose Hotel & Suites

The rooms and suites are comfortable while following a basic, no-frills style. The organic feel of the hotel continues in the extensive use of local wood, while the hotel’s name is lived up to with the stylised moose who feature heavily in the wall art. Rooftop Suites feature lovely ceiling beams and kitchen areas, so you can self-cater if you wish.

For a unique stay, opt for the standalone Corner House, a miner’s dwelling from the early 1900s which has been fully restored to the standards of a modern, comfortable hotel.

Food & drink

The hotel’s restaurant, Pacini, offers fantastic authentic Italian cuisine in a friendly, informal setting. At breakfast, frittatas, Italian coffee and even breakfast pizzas are on offer alongside a variety of international fresh and cooked options. Throughout the rest of the day, you’ll find fresh salads, healthy soups, grilled meats, and of course, an extensive selection of pizza and pasta dishes – just the thing after a day’s exercise in the great outdoors.

Facilities

Banff Meadow Spa & Pools, located in Moose Hotel & Suites, is the perfect place to retreat to after a day in the mountain air, with a range of massages, facials and other wellness therapies on offer to help you relax. The hotel has two rooftop pools – heated, of course – both of which are beautiful spots to kick back and take in views of the mountains.

Activities at Moose Hotel & Suites

A stay in Banff is all about enjoying outdoor adventures in the pristine mountain landscapes of Banff National Park, with no end of places to bike, climb, hike and otherwise explore. Fishing is a peaceful way to experience Lake Louise, while in the winter the lake turns into a pretty unforgettable natural ice rink.

When you need to warm up, make for the natural Banff Hot Springs, which are particularly spectacular at sunrise and sunset, as the shifting light changes the hue of the snow-covered mountains.
