Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Turtle Beach by Elegant Hotels sits in southern Barbados, within walking distance of St Lawrence Gap, a fun area full of bars, restaurants and clubs. The resort opens onto a beautiful long stretch of white sand, shaded by palms.

Rooms at Turtle Beach by Elegant Hotels

Turtle Beach’s luxurious suites have a classic feel, with dark wood furniture, big, comfy sofas and tiled floors. The colour scheme, all blue, yellow and green, reflects the vibrant island of Barbados, and all rooms open onto balconies or terraces which overlook either the resort’s verdant gardens or the Caribbean Sea.

Most exclusive of all are the One Bedroom Ocean View Suites, which have separate living areas with pull-out sofa beds and unrivalled ocean views from a private balcony.

food & Drink

With several restaurants and bars, there’s no danger of going hungry. Chelonia serves hearty breakfast buffets and a rotating roster of international dishes each night, while Asiago’s is open in the evening for superb Italian food. Sand Trap serves great seafood and Caribbean fare overlooking the beach, while the Half Moon Coffee Bar and Deli is the place to go for light bites, drinks and pastries. There’s even the Freeze Ice Cream Parlour – the perfect place to cool off on a hot afternoon.

Take advantage of Elegant Hotels' Taste of Elegance Dine Around programme, and dine at sister hotels across the island, with a complimentary water taxi running between them.

A wide range of spa and wellness treatments are available, including massages, manicures, pedicures and body scrubs. There are also two outdoor pools, plus a children’s pool and whirlpool.

Activities at Turtle Beach by Elegant Resorts

Whether you’re an adventurous holidaymaker, or your idea of paradise is doing nothing at all, you’ll find Turtle Beach the perfect place. The hotel opens onto a perfect stretch of white beach, while the range of water sports on offer includes snorkelling and kayaking, and this is a great spot for bodyboarding, thanks to the gently rolling waves. Sailing in a Hobie Cat catamaran is a fun way to explore the beautiful Bajan coastline.

Back on dry land, tennis and golf at the excellent Barbados Golf Club are among the sporting activities on offer with tennis coaches on hand to offer instruction. There is also a fantastic kids club to keep young ones entertained.
