Luxury Holidays in the Bahamas

If you can't get away from it all with a luxury holiday or honeymoon on one of the Bahamas' 700 islands and 2,400 cays, there really is no excuse.

Since Christopher Columbus stumbled upon the islands in 1492, they have become the epitome of luxury Caribbean holidays, from their famed pink-sand beaches, brilliant-blue sea and subtropical weather to a wealth of adventures. The Bahamas are friendly islands to visit, with a swashbuckling history and plenty more to offer - immerse yourself in Nassau's fascinating stories of pirates and smuggling, listen to the irresistible rhythms of local calypso and rake and scrape music, indulge in the exclusivity of the private island of Kamalame Cay and chill out on one of the iconic pink beaches with a cold Kalik beer.

The Bahamas may be justifiably popular, but it's still possible to find hidden gems such as Harbour Island, and explore the islands by getting lost in the cays and mangrove forests on a kayak, swimming with sharks and turtles, and snorkelling and diving in pristine aquamarine waters where your only company is the fascinating underwater world and its exotic marine life - the Bahamas has some of the best diving spots in the world, including the beautiful blue holes of Andros

When it comes to food and drink, seafood is one of the many things the Caribbean islands do well, and the Bahamas is no exception (make sure you experience a local fish fry) - and
the best spirit to indulge in is the local rum.

Escape now and discover a luxury holiday in the Bahamas for yourself.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE BAHAMAS

A touch of 007 glamour. From stylish casinos, to exquisite cuisine, the Bahamas has everything the jet-set could possibly desire. For a real 007 experience, it’s got to be The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, where scenes from Casino Royale were filmed.

Diving. The Bahamas has an incredible barrier reef and is renowned for some of the best diving in the world. The waters are teeming with marine life including turtles, stingrays, colourful and exotic reef fish, sharks and dolphins. The waters can be shallow and are very clear – so snorkelling is a great alternative if you aren’t a certified diver.

Regattas. There are several regattas per year with amateur captains from all over the world coming to take part. Don’t have the best sea legs? Watch from dry land at one of the many fantastic restaurants.
