Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Looking out over the beautiful Long Bay Beach, peppered with gently swaying palms, Quintessence Hotel is the epitome of the picture-postcard Caribbean. The cultural and historic sights of The Valley, the island’s capital, are just inland.

Rooms at Quintessence Hotel

Styled on a grand mansion, the nine villas and suites are adorned with only the finest furnishings and materials, from the handmade Hastens beds to the carved dark wood screens and beautiful marble bathrooms.

The lovely suites feature rugged wooden four-poster beds and beamed ceilings, each with a balcony looking out to the sea, while the opulent Penthouse Suite has a panoramic covered dining terrace. The 24-hour butler service ensures you will be blissfully pampered.

Food & Drink

Anguilla is known as the culinary capital of the Caribbean, and ‘island soul food’ is the tagline at the hotel’s French-inspired restaurant, Julians, where dishes like spiny lobster, roasted quail and Caribbean fish soup are followed by delectable desserts such as pistachio creme brulee.

Food is expertly paired with an exquisite selection of fine wine. You can even tour the island with one of the chefs, and handpick your dinner from the catch of the day. In the evening, sip craft cocktails at the elegant Q Bistro Bar.

Facilities

The fitness room and the tennis court, set in the lush gardens, mean you can keep on top of your workout routine – but if that sounds too much like hard work, the dedicated Yoga Pavilion and the peaceful Garden Terrace, looking out over the ocean, are perfect settings for yoga, meditation, and Pilates.

You can also indulge in the spa, whose treatments feature local ingredients such as minerals, fruits and plants – lie back and enjoy an Ayurvedic massage. Alternatively, simply relax by the pool.

Activities at Quintessence Hotel

Anguilla’s beautiful coastline is your playground here – snorkel, dive and sail around the beautiful beaches, cliffs and coves. Back on dry land, horse riding, tennis, mountain biking and a number of lawn games are on offer, while excursions to the idyllic Sandy Island or a nearby fishing village will allow you to experience more of Anguillian life.
