With just 34 rooms, the Wadi Shab resort has the feeling of a boutique beachside hideaway with each room facing out to sea. Spacious and classically appointed, rooms have their own separate seating areas and balconies and if you fancy a freshwater break from the beach, there’s a pool where you can soak up some sunshine.

Food and Facilities

The local chef who heads up the kitchen at Wadi Shab prepares regional and wholesome Omani cuisine, served in either the hotel’s dining room or outside on its quirky boat-shaped alfresco area.

Activities at Wadi Shab

A couple of kilometres away stands the wadi that the hotel is named after: a series of inviting emerald-hued natural pools and waterfalls that are a pleasant setting for a morning’s hike and swim. At the hotel itself, the shoreline extends uninterrupted into the distance and the calm Sea of Oman stretches into the horizon, where your days can be happily spent lazing on the golden beach, snorkelling or taking a boat trip to to watch the dolphins compete with the fishermen at first light or later to watch on the sun go down.
