Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa clings to the edge of the Gulf of Oman – a midnight blue strait connecting the Arabian Sea with the Strait of Hormuz – and fringed by the imposing Hajar mountains. It is a 45-minute drive from the capital, Muscat, where you can visit the exquisite Grand Mosque.

Rooms at Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa

Adorned with exquisite Omani artwork, the opulent rooms are masterpieces in themselves. Inspired by Arabic palaces, they feature a colour palette of rich colours like maroon, ochre and gold, and come with a balcony overlooking the sea – and there is even a sliding wooden panel in the deluxe, marble-clad bathrooms so you can indulge in a deliciously warm bath while taking in the beautiful views.

Food & Drink

Feast on authentic Omani cuisine as well as Moroccan and Lebanese dishes. Eat anytime at one of the many cafés and bars or dine at the resort’s dynamic restaurant, Sultanah, where you can enjoy live music in a sophisticated setting.

There are many ways to keep fit here, with a gym, floodlit tennis courts and a beach volleyball court.

Unwind on the hotel’s 100-metre private beach or take in the views from its stunning infinity pool. Put your feet up at the lovely spa, where you can be pampered with a range of soothing face and body treatments that are guaranteed to leave you relaxed and revived.

Activities at Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa

You’ll be spoilt for choice for things to do, with a range of water sports to take part in, from guided snorkelling to diving - and you can head out to see on a dolphin-spotting trip. If you’re into team sports, friendly matches between staff and guests take place on a regular basis on Al Bandar Beach.

If you’re more of an explorer, Oman’s most beautiful nature spots are nearby, such as the Wahiba Sands desert between Muscat and Sur, and the barren riverbeds (wadis), nestled in gorges carved in the mountains.
