Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The cosiness of the hotel’s rooms is somewhat at odds with the rather more grand appearance of the public areas. You enter into a high-ceilinged courtyard fringed with large Moorish arches and lit by Moroccan lamps, with beautiful marble floors dotted with palm trees; this area also serves as the hotel restaurant.

Rooms at Riad Senso

Riad Senso has just five rooms, each of which is uniquely designed. The rooms share a beautiful aesthetic, which is stylish and luxurious without being overly extravagant. The colour schemes are muted and tasteful, and authentic features – such as patterned marble fireplaces, tiled mosaic floors, and Moroccan lamps – lend them a traditional character.

Food & Drink

The homely atmosphere of Riad Senso extends to the restaurant, where homemade meals shared with the hotel’s hosts can be arranged in advance. You’ll have the choice of a range of international dishes, but we recommend you go for the hearty home-style Moroccan cuisine, which ranges from fresh bread and crepes at breakfast to hearty tagines of an evening.

Facilities

There are no spa facilities at Riad Senso; there is, however, an on-site boutique, where you can pick up locally made handicrafts and other products such as organic soap.

Activities at Riad Senso

The hotel boasts a fantastic location just a couple of minutes from the heart of Rabat’s medieval Medina. Rabat is less visited by tourists than the likes of Marrakech, but it has lots of charm and no shortage of historical attractions. The Medina’s a great place to shop for trinkets and people-watch, while the Kasbah les Oudaias, with its white and powder blue houses, has a similar Andalusian feel to Chefchaouen.
