Hotel Overview

Sense of place

La Mamounia is located in central Marrakech, a stone's throw from the main sights of the city.

Food & drink

Be greeted on arrival with a welcome cocktail, linger over lunch on the terrace, taking in the views over the gardens, enjoy afternoon tea in the lounge, and take your pick from the range of restaurants, from traditional Moroccan cuisine to French and Italian specialities. After a dip in the pool, tuck into the delicious Mediterranean buffet in the poolside pavilion- this is also the place to be for Sunday brunch. Enjoy mint tea and Moroccan cakes at Bar Menzeh in the heart of the gardens.

Rooms at La Mamounia

The decadent rooms and suites showcase traditional Moroccan decor and have balconies or terraces overlooking the peaceful gardens and the Atlas Mountains, or the Koutoubia mosque and the city. Signature suites include the Majorelle suite, decorated in brilliant blue in honour of the artist Jacques Majorelle (don’t miss the beautiful Majorelle Garden in Marrakech, which so enchanted designer Yves Saint Laurent that he ended up living there). There are also luxurious riads set in the gardens that can accommodate up to six guests each, with private swimming pools and 24-hour butler service.

Facilities

Retreat to the spa for a sensory journey, where massages, body treatments and a hairdressing salon will ensure you are pampered mentally and physically. Take a dip in the heated indoor pool or admire the landscapes while you swim a few lengths in the legendary outdoor pool. There are also two clay tennis courts and a fitness pavillion, offering yoga, pilates, aerobics and private exercise classes.

Activities at La Mamounia

If you can drag yourself away, enjoy a romantic horse and carriage ride around the city, and shop in the incredible souks for unique souvenirs. Back at La Mamounia, sip a sundowner in the Churchill bar (named after guest Winston Churchill), accompanied by live jazz.
