Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Dar Mo'da is a tranquil enclave in the heart of the Medina, the historic quarter of Marrakech – just a few minutes’ walk from the famous Jemaa el Fna square and the bustling souks.

Rooms at Dar Mo'da

With just four suites, Dar Mo’da feels more like a grand house rather than a hotel – and with each room featuring tadelakt fireplaces, black-marble bathrooms and cool air conditioning, you’ll be in the lap of Moroccan luxury. Each suite is named after its themed colour.

A rarity in Marrakech riads, the elegant Black and White suites have private terraces with superb vistas – so consider booking either one when visiting.

Food & drink

In the morning, sip mint tea or an Italian espresso on the rooftop before tucking into fresh fare for breakfast. If you don’t fill up on street food during your excursions, Dar Mo’da can prepare delicious lunches and dinners for you and serve up large Moroccan-style dishes of dried fruits, spices and braised meats.

Facilities

There are plenty of shaded corners where you can escape the heat of the day. As well as a spa and hammam, there’s a peaceful central courtyard, complete with a swimming pool and comfortable lounges, which is ideal for relaxing after exploring Marrakech - and in the evenings, the candlelight and rose incense make it rather magical.

You can also head to the magnificent rooftop terrace, which has a plunge pool and fantastic views of the city, the Atlas Mountains and the nearby Koutubia mosque.

Activities at Dar Mo'da

The rooftop sundeck can be used for Pilates and yoga and while you're up there, scout out the top attractions you want to visit during the day - there’s the nearby cloth-dying quarter, the Koutubia mosque (non-Muslims cannot enter but can walk around the exterior), the overflowing souks and the many art galleries, which house excellent exhibitions including photography, architecture and scripture.
