Sea of Galilee

The Sea of Galilee is the largest freshwater lake in all of Israel, and is renowned for its tranquil, crystal-clear waters, through which the Jordan River flows. Around its shores sit multiple historical and religious sites, with masses of travellers making a pilgrimage to experience the area.

Visit the Biblical village and remains of Capernaum, and the Yardenit baptism site in the Jordan River. The area is also famous for its unique rural agriculture and majestic landscapes, with the majestic Mount Tabor visible for miles around.

Explore the Sea of Galilee on hiking and cycling trails such as the Kinneret or Jesus trails. Otherwise, relax in style on one of the many private beaches around the water's edge.
