WHEN TO GO TO EGYPT

Egypt enjoys plenty of sunshine and hot weather, so this is a great destination for those who like the heat on holiday. Generally, the best time to visit is between October and April, when temperatures are cooler, at a comfortable 72 – 84 degrees Fahrenheit (22 - 29 degrees Celsius). This weather is ideal for visiting the Pyramids and Cairo’s busy streets, and makes exploring in general much more enjoyable than in the summer months.

Between May and September Egypt gets very hot across the country, with temperatures reaching 104 degrees Fahrenheit (40 degrees Celsius) in many places. Though this heat often makes visiting cities uncomfortable, a light breeze along the Nile means luxury Nile River cruises can still be enjoyed at this time of year.
